The 8th World Water Forum will be held in Brasilia, Brazil, from 18 to 23 March 2018.
The theme of the Forum is “SHARING WATER” and it is structured around 5 process: Thematic Process, Regional Process, Political Process, Citizens Forum and Sustainability Focus Group.
The Thematic Process has six themes and topics:
- Climate – Water security and climate change;
- People – Water, sanitation and health;
- Development – Water for sustainable development;
- Urban – Integrated urban water and waste management ;
- Ecosystems – Water quality, ecosystem livelihoods and biodiversity;
- Finance – Financing for water security.
The NGO Coalition Butterfly Effect is proud to be one of coordinators of the theme PEOPLE in the Thematic Process.
