Participation of the International Secretariat for Water at the World Water Week 2017

From August 27th to September 1st, the International Secretariat for Water (ISW) will participate to the World Water Week (WWW) organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). The ISW occupies a central role in the program, participating in the holding of three events.

 

Youth for Water and Climate Platform

This event will present the YWC platform (co-coordinated by ISW) and the prototype of our upcoming website! The presentation will end on a signature session of the Declaration of Support of #YWC and a cocktail. Come meet our youth leaders and join the #YWC platform! Other activities will also take place during day at the booth.

 

Governance of water and waste: a key to sustainable development?

This seminar addresses governance of water and waste with a particular emphasis on wastewater management and reuse. The seminar will concentrate on various areas of integrating water resources management; reducing and reusing waste; managing water and waste in the urban context and promoting integrity and anti-corruption in the water and waste sectors.

 

A Wasted Potential – Bringing Youth led Solutions to Scale

Sunday 27 August | 09.00-10.30 | Room: FH Little Theatre

This interactive session aims at showcasing some of today’s most promising water and waste reduce/reuse solutions, and their major hindrances to upscaling, in order to identify possible strategies to overcome them. The session will start off with presentations of case studies, followed by round table discussions in which project holders and the audience will work together to analyze best practices and impediments in the implementation and upscaling phase.
