The 2016 UN World Water Development Report was presented to the European Parliament in September 2016 during a public session. The 2016 edition focuses on “Water and Jobs”.

“Addressing the water-jobs nexus, notably through coordinated policies and investments, is therefore a prerequisite to sustainable development in both developed and developing countries”, highlights the report.

Many people spoke during this public session in the European Parliament. The European Youth Parliament for Water (EYPW) was present through its President, Claire Pace, who highlighted the necessary involvement of young people in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
