The EYPW makes youth voices heard for the World Water Day 2021

On the occasion of the World water day (WWD), March 22, 2021, the European Youth Parliament for Water (EYPW), represented by Hasmik Barseghyan, president, participated in an online discussion on Word Water Day’s official theme: “the Value of Water”.

During this discussion, the panelists exchanged on the “Value of Water”  #Water2me, highlighting the crucial role of this resource for populations around the world. Hasmik Barseghyan linked the “value of water” to the notion of the common good and collective responsibility, insisting on the importance of involving populations, and especially youth, in these issues. Indeed, a better representation of citizens in the management and governance of water will allow a general appropriation of these issues and a better awareness of the value of water.

Organized by Women for Water Partnership and Aquafed, with the participation of Tanja Miskova (Ambassador for Water Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia), Maja Groff (International Lawyer, The Hague University-Leyde), and Stephanie Smith (Lead Partner, Zephyr Mangata Consultancy) and Hasmik Barseghyan (President, EYPW)
