UNESCO Week for Peace and Sustainable Development: The Role of Education.

UNESCO and the Canadian Commission for UNESCO are jointly organizing the UNESCO Week for Peace and Sustainable Development: The Role of Education to take place 6-10 March, 2017 in Ottawa, Canada. The week brings together under one banner two distinct events:

– the Review Forum for the UNESCO Global Action Programme;
– the Third UNESCO Forum on Global Citizenship Education (GCED): The Role of Teachers.

The ISW, which runs strong youth-oriented programs and is preparing a new Youth Strategy, will participate as an observer in this event. This will be an opportunity to gather current ideas in the field of youth education for sustainable development.
