We’re forming a group to take part in the 4th edition of the European Youth Event. Apply and meet us in Strasbourg next May!

What is the European Youth Event?
From May 29-30 2020, the European Parliament of Strasbourg will be hosting the 4th edition of the European Youth Event, bringing together more than 7’000 young people from all over the European Union and beyond to share and shape their ideas on the future of Europe. It is a unique opportunity for youth to meet and inspire each other and decision-makers right in the heart of European democracy.
On this occasion and since the EYE is only open to groups, we are gathering a team of young water leaders motivated to take part in the EYE and spread the vision of the European youth for water.
Activities
During the EYE, you will be able to choose among a large number of activities, ranging from artistic performances to high-level panels or interactive workshops. But also, you will be able to meet and connect with young participants and decision-makers coming from all over Europe.
The EYE is also a unique opportunity for young people to make their voices heard for the future of Europe. All the reflections resulting from the workshops will be transmitted to the services of the European Parliament and submitted to the Members of the European Parliament. In order to make the most of this opportunity, we will be requesting some preparatory work in order to identify in advance what messages you would like to convey during the EYE.
Finally, during the EYE, we will be organizing a workshop related to transboundary water resource management. You will be asked to contribute to the organisation of this workshop and to actively participate to this activity.

Eligibility criteria
- Aged 18-30
- Fluency in English
- Being national or resident in one of the 27 (+1) member states of the UE
- Strong interest and / or knowledge in water, climate or environmental issues, European policies, youth activism, direct democracy, etc.
Dates
The EYE takes place from Friday 29th to Saturday 30th May 2020. Participants are expected to arrive in Strasbourg on Thursday 28th afternoon. Departures will be on Sunday 31st afternoon.
Fees and costs
For now, we are not able to commit to financial support. By applying, you understand that you will have to cover your transport and stay costs in Strasbourg. However, we can support you in your search for sponsors.
