The International Secretariat for Water (ISW) and Solidarity Water Europe (SWE) bring together citizens and organizations that are committed and active in the cause of water. Their commitment is to ensure the application of the founding texts of the movement (the Montreal Charter and the Declaration of Strasbourg) to ensure access to drinking water and sanitation for all. The ISW is based in Montreal, Canada, and SEE is based in Strasbourg, France.
Building on the evolution of knowledge, the development of innovative partnerships and creativity, ISW-SWE develops initiatives that guarantee the right to water and thus universal access to water and sanitation, while preserving the resource. The ISW-SWE and its partners create bridges and dialogues between all stakeholders (civil society, academic sector, private sector and institutions).
